Judicial Review is the process whereby the High Court in Belfast can review a decision made by a public body (such as a local council, the PSNI, the Prison Service or the Secretary of State) if that decision is considered to be unfair or unreasonable.
Anyone can take a Judicial Review, as long as they are affected by the decision in question.
The decision must be challenged (i.e. brought to court) within three months of the decision being made. It is therefore very important that should you feel a decision has been made that adversely impacts on you and your rights that you make contact with us as soon as possible.
